DESIGNER HOLIDAY DÉCOR – CHRISTMAS TREES
As the centerpiece of your holiday decor, the Christmas tree offers the chance to reach for the stars for a level of luxury that reflects this beautiful season. Designers such as Christian Louboutin agree. His 2019 tree designed for world-renowned hotel Claridge's lobby featured his signature red and Christmas gold colors. Complete with toys in the form of shoes, live cones, and decorative patterns, the display also featured the Loubi Express, a sparkling red train complete with Cocktail Conductor, champagne, and cocktails.
Diane von Fürstenberg created her Tree of Love in 2018, inspired by her passion and belief in the power of love, life, and nature. The 20-foot tall sculptural tree was painted blue with glitter and adorned with over 8,000 hand-painted silver leaves, glass balls, and 150 handmade glass hearts.
It would take Karl Lagerfeld to create an upside-down Christmas tree, which he accomplished in 2017. Specifically, it was a series of inverted fir trees, centered on a 16-foot inverted tree resembling a silver stalactite. He topped his stunning spectacle with gilded silver roots and a multifaceted mirrored star.
DESIGNER HOLIDAY DÉCOR – SWAROVSKI
Can't picture an upside-down Christmas tree in your True Fashionista house? Well, how about a genuine Swarovski ornament or two on your tree? For 30 years now, they have released exquisite, limited-edition crystal ornaments, and the 2021 version is as gorgeous as ever. Designed by Michele Blasilli, this anniversary ornament sparkles with 67 clear crystals, adding contemporary appeal to its timeless, True Fashionista design. Its metal tag in a new round shape is engraved with the year and embellished with a small crystal. Hang it on your tree or in a window to catch the sunlight. The Little Star ornament's smaller cousin also blends 67 crystals with champagne gold-tone, metal accents, and a cream-white, velvet ribbon.
The Swarovski holiday line also offers cheery magnets, shelf display objects, various additional ornaments, and a stunning crystal Christmas tree topper made from handmade, mouth-blown glass and tiny, hand-glued crystals. And yes, it's lightweight.
DESIGNER HOLIDAY DÉCOR – WREATHS
From the tree by the hearth to the elf up on that shelf, your holiday décor wouldn't be complete without a wreath on the door to welcome in the world this holiday season. You might consider the Original Magnolia Wreath, a classic featuring real magnolia leaves changing color over time. With proper storage, this wreath will last for years.
The beautiful American Holiday Wreath by Winward is made from evergreen, eucalyptus, and juniper for an overall appeal to the senses. Open your eyes and enjoy the beauty of the leaves with pinecones nestled within, then close your eyes and imagine the forest.
What the what, you are eschewing traditional red and green this year? Chairish has your back with their gold metal laurel leaf wreath. Or go au naturale with a pinecone wreath by the Magnolia Company. Featuring natural pinecones harvested from several states' forests, including Georgia, Montana, and Washington, you've got the country covered with this baby.
You can find a great selection of Christmas wreaths at True Fashionistas consignment store, Naples as well.
DESIGNER HOLIDAY DÉCOR – STOCKINGS
You've had the same cherished stocking for ages, and that ripped toe is downright charming with the Reeses snowman poking out. How about we go all 2021 on the family collection and fancy up the hearth a bit this year? Try the Heather Donohue for John Derian "Eye" Felt stocking. This handmade piece features a hand-cut applique accented with vintage sequins and beads, and yes, a big ol' eye staring out into your soul.
The dusty pink pattern on the Schumacher Fauna stocking features herds of adorable miniature deer, each with a distinct expression. It's part of the Flight of Fancy collection.
The White Company offers a lovely plush faux fur stocking in dove gray. You might want to roll up with it to watch a movie or two on Christmas Day.
A bit more traditional yet updated is the True Fashionista ruffled holiday stocking by Fennco Styles. A set of ruffles tops its solid red motif. And who doesn't like ruffles?
Finally, St. Frank serves up a lovely cerulean blue OTOMÍ stocking made from vintage handwoven Peruvian frazada blankets lined in linen. Frazada is handwoven in the Andes with sheep wool and alpaca, shares Etsy. This one will stand out from the crowd for sure.
